Heheheh, chuckling here. Why? Probably because you've just written about how so many of us are, talking to ourselves, arguing w/ourselves, or if like me arguing w/people that need arguing with but are not present!

Great dialogue. Or monologue!

And it's true, your flowerbeds won out. They need the leaves for mulch. And your rake and pruners won, too. They need to stay nice and dry and tack a vacation. And you won, too, once again writing a winner blog entry!

Stay warm today.
Best,
Shoe

Don't rake - the plants need 'dem leaves.

It's January - you "could" be buried under snow this time next month Crying

Heh! Shoe. Dialogue.

Reminds me of a conversation Vic and I had the other day. She said she thought I was equally right and left brained.

I told her about the test that was given to teachers in our system one year. It was to make sure we were teaching the right subject areas. Heck, I thought, why would we have studied specific areas if we weren't teaching them. Anyway, those who were left brained were supposed to be in the math and science fields and those who were right brained were in literature and the arts. (I think, but I might have them backwards, can't remember and care less about test results.)

Anyway, I tested right in the middle. Equally right and left brained. The principal decided I should take the test over, something was wrong, I should be one or the other but not both.

I took it over. And over. And over again. Different versions of the test every time, but always the same results, right in the middle.

So it's a dialogue. I figure it's my right brain arguing with my left brain.
That's better than having people think I'm schizophrenic, don't ya reckon?

Too funny! Yep, sounds like you're center-brain.

And you have it correct, right brains are supposed to by artist-types, left brains the more analytical, so to speak. A book I bought too many years ago and have only threatened to pull it out, "Drawing on the right side of your brain" is to teach dummies like me how to draw. Because of that book title I remember which side of the brain does what.

But, probably for me, I tend to monologue w/myself. Sorta. But I sometimes wonder about that as I tell myself jokes and laugh at the punchline as if I'd never heard it before. (I'm so easily amused, eh?) :>)

Howdy, Vic...cold and wet your way, too. The perfect excuse to stay inside and slo-mo life.

Don't worry about reading that book, Shoe.
I've read it too many times and it's not gonna make a bit of difference in your life or mine.
Nice to have in a bookshelf, though.

You got that right Shoe. Cold and dark out there. Just plopped on the sofa - getting ready to go play in the database. Green Grin!

As for left brain or right brain - I wonder where that leaves me Confused I'm certainly not analytical and I don't have an artistic bone in my body Whistling Hank is definitely "both" brained Sticking tongue out

And I talk to myself all the time. Not sure if that's monologue or dialogue but I usually come up with the answer. Thumbs up

Hah...maybe you're whole-brain, Vic! And you don't see the need to choose either side over the other...like Sharon.

Well, darn. So if that book won't help me learn to draw I'm up the creek, Sharon. I declare. I'll stick to diggin in the dirt and drawing conclusions.

You draw conclusions and I jump to them, Shoe.
I guess that's probably the same thing.

You are doing a bang up job with the database, Vic.
Keep right on and on and on with all that good work.

What wacky weather! I simply can't believe you found green popping up at this time of year but I see the proof with my own eyes.

Awww to heck with all those tests for this, that & the other. They'll only come along 10 or 20 years from now & discover they were wrong in what they thought & think they have all the correct answers THIS time & then history will repeat itself over & over & over again. I'd much rather accept whatever it is I or you or anyone else has & be thankful for whatever it is. IT is US. IT is what makes each of us unique. WE broke the mold.

Nuff said.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
