Thanks! Some of them were so entwined and knotted, I don't know how much longer before they strangled themselves. It took longer to dig and divide than I expected. I can't wait to see what I did tho, since I moved them to many beds instead of the one.

Jamie, iris are so beautiful. They just don't last long enough.

These are the Schreiner Lilliputs. They don't get much over a foot tall, but they multiply fairly fast. I have:

Baby Blessed, Cats Eye, Chubby Cheeks, Hottentot, Mary's Lamb, Music, Sleepy Time, Time To Shine and With Castanets.

Are your liliputs early bloomers?
I have Baby Blessed plus a few NOID's
I really like the mid sized ones. I have planted a few TBI's this July. We will see how they do when it gats windy here.

Jo Ann, yes they are. For me, they start about the end of April and last till the midddle of May. I just love them! Baby Blessed should rebloom, but I haven't seen it do anything yet. It has rebloomed the last couple of years I've had it.

Well, look at that. The sun is out. There goes my excuse to sit at the computer all day :o)

BYE!

Oh, you folks! I have so little sun that I can't get addicted to anything much more but my thrill with the Iris that I did add (actually the prior fall) was that they came between the daffs and tulips and bleeding hearts and right before the Asian lilies and peonies then more comes (daylilies, orientals...on down the line). They really do add joy to my perennial 'layering' plan to always have color and scent anywhere I can. I like the foliage too. Excuse my really bad camera and photo skills but this is what I mean...aren't these a lovely addition?

JaeRae your photos are good enough to see how beautiful theiris are where they are blooming.
I added iris this year because I needed bloom between tulip time and lily blooms. I cant wait for next May,only 8 months to go.

Jo Ann, that's a pretty picture of Cat's Eye. At first, I never thought it was that pretty compared to some, but I really like it now.

Music is really neat. I hope to have a lot more of it to spread around.

Jamie, they are beautiful! The best part is they bloom before too many leaves come out. Mine are in the shade of walnut trees and still do pretty good!

I love the white with the white birdbath! I love a good birdbath too and that one is mighty fine!

Jo I'm with you. I can't wait till April. That's when I get the crocus and such.

This shows the sunlight getting thru. Iris line the back of the bed, and are in the middle here and there too. It's West to East

Jamie, oh, I could never have too many!

Unfortunately those lush plants get pretty ratty come Fall and rot because they don't get the sun on the tuber. It's why I don't end up with a bunch :o( They die out if I don't lift and divide.

Jo Ann, I'm lucky enough light filters thru in the Spring. It gets pretty dark under there come summer.

Wow, Sally, that's gorgeous! Promise more pics in the spring?

Jamie, you've got some gorgeous irises there. It looks like your area is quite wooded? Really nice!

Thanks Polly. Yes, I live on a pretty heavily wooded lot. There is really only one relatively small area that gets good sun. It is brick patio with just a small 'yard' in the sun, but every year I dig up a little more of the 'yard' part and that is very quickly turning into a 'path'. Hilarious!
