Karen, you are probably correct about that, it has been so many, many years since I grew plumeria and my memory is far from sharp anymore. The plumies all froze one bad year and I never started up with them again - until this week.
Minds are like parachutes; they work better when they are open.
Alice. Thank you. I am rather fond of my variegated plumeria. I have several new ones I will be adding to the Variegated Plumeria thread in the next few weeks. Just waiting till they grow a little more.
Plumeria can and do bloom on a single trunk. Usually after they bloom they then put out 2-3 branches. That makes the plant starts looking more like a tree. Good luck with your new plant.

I have grown all the normal leaf plants from Thai seed. The variegated ones are almost all imported from Thailand. There are very few in the US that you find for sale but there are some occasionally. I have purchased from several different Thai dealers but I have just about collected all the different ones I can find.
Twisted Tropical nursery has a few for sale now if you want to try one. He is an excellent dealer and very reasonable in price and shipping. His name is Josh and he is a really nice guy.
That's Brugsmania that need to "Y" before they'll bloom, as Karen said.
I put time-release fertilizer in when potting (or on top for those not getting repotted just yet). Sounds like maybe I should do some water soluble fertilizer or foliar feeding also for my plumies?
From your mouth to Mother Nature's ear, hey? Hoping for more blooms before frost this year... I think some of that is probably just the age of my plants. I may also need to be willing to keep some potted plumeria "in the green" for an extra month or two in fall by somehow finding indoor space for them.
Love
From a cutting I bought this spring. Didn't need it but I bought several cuttings just to justify shipping of another plant. It seems to have rooted just fine with the inflo.
