I just love yellow in the garden, and yellow irises are among my very favorites! Why don't we try posting pictures of our favorite yellows? Here are ten of mine:
So cute, Lucy! And I'm glad that you're posting pictures of the wee ones, since I always seem to gravitate to the big TB's. Those are true little treasures, for sure!
I realize that SDBs are not too happy in your climate. I am thinking about ordering 'Sun Shine In'. It is a techical problem for me to get pictures into my computer. I am mainly interested it getting seedlings and our intros for winter study.
Just beautiful! OVERJOYED is another I keep forgetting about -- it truly is another of my favorites!
And another I usually don't include is Innerst's AGAIN AND AGAIN. It's almost drab in comparison with the other yellows, but it blooms every winter for me and is on its second winter bloom right now, and at this time of year it looks absolutely elegant.
Thanks Betty it stands out in the garden, I ordered quite a few more yellow ones this year they really make for a impressive show can't wait to see them open. I bought one called Italian Master that looks to be a really nice looking flower.
Ooh, I got ITALIAN MASTER last year too -- can't wait to see if it blooms this spring! I'm a Barry Blyth freak and just ordered nine more of his from Keith Keppel. I think ITALIAN MASTER looks really fascinating!
I agree they both have some beautiful flowers Im hoping to make another trip to Oregon in the spring and see his gardens and Mid Americas they are fabulous to look at up close.
Once again I am expecting these yellows this sprin from last July orders.

Ring Around Rosey
These dwarfs have been blooming here for 4 years
Baby Blessed a uber increaser
Aruba, how I envy you! I went to Salem two years in a row with my sister in 2009-10 and just loved it! But I think it will be a long time before I get up there again. if you hit it just right it's like a wonderland up there!
RING AROUND ROSIE is another one that should be beautiful in your area. It gets so hot here that all the "design" in the falls pretty much faded away -- bummer! But it should be spectacular for you!
This is a NOID yellow I bought in '08. The woman had a few rows at the side of the road in the country. She dug it for me and was out of business the next year.I believe she was sick at the time. Anyway its a midheight
Jo Ann,
That looks a lot like mine. It is an very old favorite of mine. I had many Iris that came and gone. I just couldn't keep them very long before they rotted or diseased out or something? But these kept coming back. I love them.
