I'm adding tons of new Delosperma (Ice Plants) to the edges of the flower beds. I want them all over the place. That new one I got called 'Fire Spinner' is going to become a favorite!

I saw that 'Fire Spinner' on mamajack's, she is getting ready to offer them. Also 'Raspberry wine' monarda, crossvines and red feathers just to mention a few, if you already have one do you think I should order one or several? Green Grin!

Order one. They root by just breaking pieces off and sticking in dirt. LOL.

That looks nice. I think I'm going to wait and see what I can get locally. I've had bad luck with so many mail order plants. I want Cheyenne Spirit most of all but seeds are difficult to get this year.

I dont do seeds except the easiest direct sow.I buy Echie plants and have transplanted the spreading Purple Cone's. I added Sunset and Summer Skies plus TikiTorch. All are behaveing but the newer hybrids dont increase well for me . Horrible soil here.
I also follow on another website and heard the newest intros of echies were iffy as to second year performance as far as color is concerned.
Echy maniacks know what they are doing.I was just cheering on.

I don't grow them from seed either, just buy the plants. There sure are some gorgeous ones.

Clint, Swallowtail has Cheyene Spirit. Not cheap, but they have them.

Yeah, the seeds at swallowtail are too expensive right now, maybe in the fall they will be cheaper. I have purchased several plants for the spring and have planted seeds as well hoping I can increase the numbers of beautiful echinaceas in my garden. I guess the main thing is not to get too excited about the new cultivars, I have plenty of the purple ones and plenty of seeds and the butterflies love them and thats all that matters. Green Grin! Thumbs up

I am also waiting for Cheyenne Spirit but at a dollar a seed I'll wait for the prices to drop. I hope they do as well as the PowWow seeds did.

I didn't order them either. I really want to see what in my yard has survived all this winter wet before I decide to buy many new things.
