Hi Kassia, Yes we have a pretty large trumpet vine. We are having a plant swap on May 15th and you would be very welcome to come. We might be a bit far for you. We live in South Central Pa. Just mapquest Dover, Pa 17315 to get an idea of travel time. I would be glad to send you some rooted starters this spring also. Here are a few pics of my Trumpet Vine.

Ric loves to sit on the porch and watch the hummers coming and going. I should have several starters potted up for the swap. Thanks for the kind words. I think the gardens are coming along really well. I am just lucky to have a DH who also enjoys gardening.

WOW WOW WOW... I totally want to see that arch in bloom!!!! goodness gracious is gorgeous.... I would totally want some cuttings if you can start for me...please email me your address so I can send you money... I would rather get plants from you ... a fellow gardener... I want a vine that will grow and last in my garden... My arches are so empty.... the roses I had growing on them just did not make it 2 years in a row... so I decided that I need something that will grow and last...
You are very welcome Kassia, Just send me a reminder this spring and I will send you out some rooted starters.

Yes, They can be a thug in the gardens so the most important issue with them is location, location, location. They also are substantial vines so you need really solid support.

Do you think that even in my zone 6a it would be a problem??? I am thinking of using the arches I have... but maybe the best would be building a new one... I have a carpenter (friend of the family) that will come to help me this coming spring so I will have him do it... thanks for the tip! I can't wait to have hummingbirds all over!!!!
