Does anyone have experience with urethane or some other type of clear sealer for wood that is painted and outdoors? Especially so that the white does not turn yellow.

So would this sealer be good to use on painted wooden birdhouses or would it be too toxic?

I accidently posted the wrong photo *Blush* *Blush* which I'm going to delete after I post this - I am so sorry.

This is what we used on our door and also our outdoor swing.

I'm thinking once it's dry, it "should" be ok for birdhouses. Unless the birds/animals started eating the wood, it should be ok.

Thanks Vic. I appreciate you making the change. I decided to put nothing but exterior paint on my pallets but my brother is looking for a finish coat that won't yellow from the sun. Crossing Fingers!

Some people like to do a topcoat on the type of mosaics I make, but I've never found a clear coat that will last and not turn yellow and peel. It can ruin all of your work when that happens.

This same thing is a problem with resins. Pouring resin over a mosaic or a colllage seems like a great idea, but the current resins all scratch, yellow and sometimes end up peeling.
