Thanks ladies. As soon as I can get a garden glove on my hand I will be back out there. Smiling no worries! Thumbs up

I agree So glad it wasn't a snake bite! I once had a blue hued centipede go up my pant leg. So glad it didn't pinch me while it was up there. Hope you feel better soon. Group hug

Eeek! I see the occasional centipede around our home and really don't want to upset them, as the pincers look nasty. The common millipedes, on the other hand, are tiny and harmless.

Centipedes creep me out. Milipedes do too, but I can sleep more comfortably knowing they don't bite...or sting...or hurt you. Glad you are doing okay!

Though, the common black and yellow milipedes do lay out some sort of toxin that wards off predators, but is only a minor irritation to the skin if the milipede uses it on you.
TB 'Starting Fresh' blooming for me in May of 2022. It bloomed for a week and a half with nine buds.

I hope so Lucy. Grumbling My hand is better today. It swelled really bad and if I touched the back of my hand it felt like I was sticking needles in it. Then two fingers were numb for a day and then the skin began to weep. I went out into the sunshine to see if I could see where the moisture was coming from and it appeared to just come out of the skin. Funny thing the moisture had tiny sparkles in it. It was iridescent pink, blue and green. Blinking I have never had that reaction to a bite, or pinch, before. It is much better now. A lot of the swelling is down and most of the feeling is back. The pain has lessened almost completely. What next. Glare

ooh bonnie, that doesn't sound good. when i got a spider bite in the web between my thumb and index finger, it got swollen just as you described your centipede bite. my whole hand puffed up three x it's normal size, & my doctor wanted to see me asap for an antbiotc shot! (which i got)

but centipede bites are nastier!

have you seen your doctor?

No, I haven't Daphne. I would go to the dr. if it was the last resort. Often what the dr. gives me compounds the problem. Shrug! I apply my own remedies and they usually take care of problems. This was a nasty one but I am tougher than a centipede. Rolling on the floor laughing At least I hope I am. Crossing Fingers! Smiling
