Spring, putting them in a semi shady area sounds like a good idea. That would give them some protection from the summer heat.

Wow Jo Ann, seedlings from you primulas. How great that is. I have not had that happen here. Unless I have been weeding them out?

I love mixed containers, anyone have pics of their best container combos of last yr? I need a new showboat combo to plant. I have some Bengal Tiger that I like to add for height, what would make a good planting to go with it ? Anyone use true lilies in a mixed pot?

I have Tiny Athlete and Tiny Icon in seperate containers. I have also had taller lilies in containers.

My one and only coleus container from last year, it has a Gloriosa Lily in it.

It is Wild Lime and Burgandy Wedding Train. The Red one is Redhead. All three where in full sun and did great all growing season. My first success with coleus, thanks to you and a few others here at ATP.

Its great to know we can do such a simple thing that gives so much enjoyment.
I have not grown any of those.

I grew them with no trouble, that means they are very easy and tough coleus.

Thats what I do. The fussy ones dont get reordered here.

Thats a nice plant. Are you wanting the tall or dwarf? Looks good in combos.

I was the first in my neighborhood to display some colorful containers! Forced to bloom ahead of normal in my greenhouse. Abba and Monte Carlo early double tulips. I'm already planning next year's display .

I'm thinking about trying this tulip next year. It isn't double but it looks kind of bushy and the description claims it changes color as the blooms mature. Sounds interesting...
