I really like those tulips, seems like a good price for something so unusual. The negative comments are the usual stuff you see on a new website. Gonna put them in my bookmarks.

I haven't had any problems with this company but my orders are usually small, not hundreds of bulbs.

If I find what I am looking for I prefer purchasing from local growers. I can look at the plants in bloom by visiting the fields. I haven't done that yet for Golden Artist. Sometimes my garden club does field trips to this company's fields but we haven't planned that for this year.

Nice! If you get to go there let us know what you think. Have you been there before? I guess I need to look around for something local also.

I have been there many times, they are only about 45 miles away from me. The owner gave a talk to our garden club several years ago.

My camera went kaput yesterday and if I can find a new one soon maybe I'll wander up that way. It always seems like it is raining every time I go but today is real nice. Figures...

I know! And with the price of gas you got to have everything right, you cannot go with out a camera!

Luckily it turns out I spoke too soon on my camera problem

It's kind of embarrassing but here goes... My camera ALWAYS retracted the lens when the batteries were low and before they got too low, then it would give a low battery warning on the monitor. I replaced the batteries once (I charged them not too long ago... or maybe it was months, I forget these things ).

Anyway I thought maybe I better just get my voltmeter out and see if something unusual was going on and sure enough ALL of the batteries that I thought were charged were quite low except for the one pair that was able to at least retract the lens.

Sigh... I'll dream a little longer about that SLR that has been on my wish list. In the meantime I'll be recharging batteries and marching onward with my little Nikon Coolpix (small and very easy to just drop in a pocket when on field trips!).

Succulent container I made up yesterday. So much color without the aid of flowers!

I found the sheet coir liner difficult to work with. It was way too easy to tear through and I had to use an old carpet scrap to supplement.

That is just charming.

I have some of the coir liner at home, but haven't tried using it yet.

My planters with coir I always make a linner of landscape fabric to go inside. I don't trust that stuff.

That is a good tip, springcolor. It was too late for me because when I tried taking the soil back out it just made things worse. Who knows, maybe it will all fall out the bottom!

This planter has three new plants and all of the little stuff I scavenged from around the gardens and other containers .

It will be another 4 weeks before I can plant my containers. I am chomping at the bit needless to say.

I just remembered I have a friend who was using an old birdbath for a Succulent container.

She is mainly a Hosta Lady, but she has Succulents and Bonsi. The Hostas are in attractive containers she bought from the dollar store for, yes a dollar a piece. She has to look for bargains since she has 500 Hostas. Gotta love her!
