Dave, for clematis 'Palette' http://garden.org/plants/propo... Palette is the first cultivar name listed, and that is the one that it normally shows up under in the database. But for this particular clematis, it picked up and is shown under the 2nd cultivar name listed which is 'Evipo034'. I don't see anyway to star 'Palette', so how do I change that?

Just go to the original listing, Chris, and give 'Palette' a thumbs-up. You might have to refresh your page to see the change. I've done it here.

Sue and I are always being thanked (or blamed ) for each other's contributions here. One of us is going to have to choose a new avatar.

Evison registered the plant as Evipo034, but Palette was chosen as the cultivar name for trade purposes. It is a tradename, but no more so than most cultivar names, so I don't think it should be listed as the trademark name, if that's what you mean.

I think I will mix it up with another image for a while, confuse more people!

I said "Zuzu" in my mind and wrote out Sue on the keyboard. I pronounce "Zuzu" with a ts sound in my mind so Zuzu and Sue sound almost the same. Sorry about that!!!
