I was trying to add a species (latifolia) name to an iris cultivar, 'Mont Blanc' English Iris (Iris jacquinii 'Montblanc') and when I did, I got the "The plant you're trying to change this to already exists!" message. When I clicked on it, it takes me to just the species iris itself. English Iris (Iris jacquinii)
I never had problems with this before if there was a cultivar name in place.
This is a situation that is providing a little frustration for me. I don't know when I will get this duplicate checking completely bug free. In the meantime, I have disabled the duplicate checking for you Sue.

Dave, Just tried to remove A. limbatum as a syn. to A. ringens and "The plant you're trying to change this to already exists!" message pops up referring to Air Plant (Tillandsia xerographica). Air Plant (Tillandsia xerographica)
It's Friday afternoon and my brain is feeling a bit singed around the edges. I won't be fixing this today. Evan, I went ahead and disabled duplicate checking for you.
