I started putting mine on google spreadsheets so I can call them up with my phone when I'm out shopping. More than once I have bought the same plant...once a plant gets on my mental wish list, it sticks there even after I've ordered it. *Blush*
I love my android phone. Don't love the high bill, but the technology is super cool. I also found out I can access the spreadsheets from my Kindle. I take it with me when I'm going to be stuck waiting somewhere, and I actually can get work done in otherwise wasted time. Wish I could figure out how to draw good garden maps and have them with me too.

I am not a techno. Eyes are failing ,its too hard to read small icons and operate such things but I really believe they are a boon to your generation.

oh Jo Ann, then you should get a Kindle for sure! I bought mine because you can adjust the font. Now all my books are large print! I bought the cheap one, so it's not in color, but it has the option on many books to have the Kindle read the books to you! Headphones are kind of an issue with me since I need a hearing aid. You can turn the kindle sideways and make the lines longer or shorter, and mine has a cover with a light so I can read in bed at night when I can't sleep. The buttons are on both sides also, which helps because my arthritis is worse in one hand. It's easier to hold than a book is. I fought getting one because i love traditional books, but I'm reading more since I got it. I can read in low light or sunlight either one now. I think Kindles ought to be marketed to people with aging issues instead of the younger techie generation.

oh, one thing Kindle started that I love is the ability to borrow library books and have them instantly sent to my kindle. Saves me lots of gas money!

I'm ignorant about this. How does eloctronic "borrowing" work?

Does the the book self destruct in finve seconds after reading, like in the old Mission Impossible? Big Grin Whistling Green Grin!

Close to it! It just disappears from your kindle after the 2 or 3 week borrowing time. No more overdue fees! Borrowers are limited on how many they can have out at a time, and I believe you can't get a book unless it is physically available in the library. Guess that protects the authors financially. I'm on the waiting list for a few books. Don't know if it works the same way everywhere, but here you have to have a library card at the library that you're technically "borrowing" from. Our library is part of a wider co-op so I think it's pulling from several collections. I'm planning to get more library cards from other places so i have more to choose from.
If you borrow from Amazon, they only let you have 1 at a time. Which sounds reasonable, but I want reference books and mysteries for daytime and tax guides to fall asleep to at night. Big Grin
I can loan books I've purchased for my kindle, but say if I loan it to my daughter's kindle, it disappears off my kindle for that time. Only difference is, I know I'll get it back, and in good condition... Whistling

Jo Ann: Love all the pics. One thing I'm trying hard to do is not buy the same color/form. I have alot of daylilies so I'm interplanting the lilies with the daylilies in the smaller beds.
I have a program called PlantStep which I use to track all my plants on. I just finished loading all the Lily data from the purchases I did. I previously used the excel spreadsheets for tracking my daylilies but the PlantStep has more features to help keep me organized for all my plants.

I have the Kindle Fire and love it. Just learned how to transfer video from my computer to the Kindle. With spring coming, Kindle will be used less as I'd rather be outside gardening Big Grin

I'll add my 2 cents about plantstep. It's wonderful! You can tie in to photos and it is real easy to set up sales pages from your own inventory and spreadsheets. Much more user friendly than Excel spreadsheets. Hurray!
didn't cost much for what I got...seems like it was under $50 a few years ago.
