That is a FINE name! You should choose the name that fits your area and that you like no matter what others have suggested. It was fun having the opportunity to name your garden or any garden. I am just happy that it wasn't Chicken Lips!
Name: Mary My little patch of paradise (Zone 7b) Gardening dilettante, that's me!
What a cool name!
See, the contest sparked your own innate creativity -- that means it did what it was supposed to do.
Northwest Georgia Daylily Society I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week. My yard marches to the beat of a bohemian drummer...
That's a great name, Steph! You should always pick a name that you will be proud of whenever you see it written somewhere, and chicken lips... well, what can I say -- so descriptive! Love Bear Country Daylilies!
Stephanie, you need to name your place EXACTLY to suit you - period. No hard feelings here I assure you. It was fun anyway & gets our old brains working & that's a good thing.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
The mountain lions would concern me far more than a bear. Yes, Montana ~~~ where WILD life abounds.

I don't know, I just have a thing for not liking bears. Worried about them killing people. I don't know anything about Mountain lions. Around here wildlife is much smaller like squirrels and stray cats!
We have mountain lions in the mountains and hills around here, and even on the San Joaquin Valley floor out close to I-5! My sis bicycles out to I-5 (15 miles from the edge of town) fairly often, and she's seen a mountain lion two or three times now out by the trail. Very dangerous! There have been a few maulings, and I think one or two people have died, but there are at least a couple of recent ones that made the national news. The last one was a young woman, and her face was half torn off, but she lived and I saw an interview with her a year or two later -- and she looked pretty good! But she'd had many surgeries.
My best friend lives in northern New Jersey and she has bears come into her yard once in awhile from the woods behind. Scary when they get up on the porch to get to the trash can.
Steph, this was SO much fun how could anyone have hurt feelings? It helped you to narrow down what was important or meaningful to you and you came up with something perfect for you. Besides, now we can steal...uh, borrow some of the names. Why I am fixated on Fat Dog, I don't know, but...
Must have been watching Frank Burns when they came up with chicken lips.
