Do you find that you have too many daylilies and need them to be divided this year. Would love to have some for postage. Am I the only one or am I posting in the wrong area?

This would be the right area, doglover.

I won't be digging any of mine, but I am sure you will get some more replies.

Maybe not this year, but perhaps in a few years. Unless you want some heirloom NOID dips from the cottage, I can dig some up in June, but you won't know what you are getting (neither will I!) ~j

Hi doglover!

I have a couple huge clumps that really need dividing - Purple Many Faces and Jambalaya - I can't think of more off the top of my head, but there might be. You're welcome to several fans of each, plus more if I find more bigguns. Please let me know if you want these.

Never enough flowers!
GREAT idea doglover!! I too would love to have the opportunity to get some of other gardeners "extras" for reasonable postage!! Trying to get "extras" at little cost as on very tight budget but trying to help out my son & his girlfriend get their gardens going!!! Our sons always help in our gardens and now he is venturing out on his own and wants to keep gardening!!! Interested in any perennials for them!!

Does this forum "do" swap threads? If so, maybe people could mention if they'd be willing to send a few for postage or trade for other perennials or garden items...

After being able to pay more attention to them last year, I may actually have a few DLs out there that could contribute a few fans to a swap, possibly a couple that even "need" to be divided LOL.

Apologies for not being here enough to know where to go... I'll try to find my way around this forum better in the future. Smiling

Jill, I will check with Dave or Trish on a swap thread within the daylily forum. Trish sometimes reads here, maybe she will chime in.

Hi!

OK... I haven't been on it lately, but The African Violet / Gesnariad forum over at DG has had a have/want list thread for years, and that seemed to work out OK... 1 post per person, edit every so often according to what leaves/plantlets you have available, and actual trades were mostly arranged via Dmail, although I think we did some trading discussion threads in addition to a few organized group swaps.

Mostly, I didn't want to be missing some trading thread that was already going! Smiling

doglover - try posting your question on the Trade forum I linked to. Maybe you will have better response. Thumbs up
