They open up like a cup shape. They do not fully open. Only thing I can think of is this plant does not handle the heat well.

Chocolate cherry truffle is on its last leg. All the leaves turned brown in it.

Was that an Ebay purchase, Eric? What do you think is the problem with it?

No I purchased it from hibiscus place. It came on the little small medium side then somehow got Wilt disease on one stem so I had to cut it off. So it was even smaller then the leaves stopped growing on it. Probably just a weak plant that never fully recovered.

What a bummer, but I'm glad it wasn't one of the Ebay plants. I've only gotten 2 so far but they're both doing well. I wanted to see how they grew before getting any more.

What did you get besides berried treasure? Are the hibiscus in your green house in humongous pots?

Berried Treasure is in the greenhouse and only in an 8 inch pot right now, but it'll have to go much larger soon. They grow so quickly! I just squashed a beetle that was eating holes in the leaves. :(

The hardy one, Fireball, is in the ground outside and doing well. The whole plant turned a dark purple but it's putting out new leaves quickly. I hope to see blooms before the cold comes.

I love everything that guy sells, so I'll be getting more of them. They seem a bit pricey, but I have no local places to buy them.

I guess I give my plants tough love. New plants just came in an exposed them to 2 hours of the hot scorching sun. Both wilted some. I really try to get them acclimated to the sun asap so I don't have to worry about the sun on them. Have yet to pot them.

They have already almost recovered. It's better in the morning since it is not as hot. So I will be putting them out in the morning. Picked them up from post office around 10. One of my love story buds still looks in good shape and it's puffing up so hopefully it does not drop. Picture will be forthcoming. Love story is really amazing visually.

Hard rain knocked a bud off my love story. Cries. Lol

I hate it when something knocks off a bud. My dog is great at doing that.

Rip Chocolate Cherry truffle. It turned totally brown and the stem is flimsy.

Love story bloomed, but I think i caught it too late to photo because I suspect the sun already faded it. The flower and the colors pop on it. This one looks dull. Light reflects off it funny for the picture.

last saturday i nicked some seeds and water soaked them for about 12 hours, i then put 12 seeds in peet pellets , lightly covered them with top soil and watered . placed a clear top cover over the pellets and put them on a heat mat, this morning i have 9 of 12 starting to come through.
