I love the dark purple Iris. It's a beauty!!!

It's been an absolutely gorgeous day here in NE MS. The temps where around 85 with a mild breeze. I really love this weather. I've got to load some pictures. I'll see if I have some to post.

Blessings to all, Mona

Yesterday morning when I went into the greenhouse I found this new visitor. He tried one cup and it didn't fit just right. So, he moved on to the this little red cup and it fit just right. I took him outside and put him in amongst some of the other pots. Thinking he would like it outside, I left him to have fun.

Hope you enjoy these two and I'll try to make more tomorrow.

Blessings to all, Mona

This morning when I went back into the greenhouse, low and behold, he was back in the same pot again. He didn't even bother to try the first pot, he knew he wanted in this one. So, I took him a little further out into the garden away from the greenhouse. I replanted the seedlings, again and hope this time he will be happy outside.

I just remembered, ya'll saying that I should prepare him a cup without the plants, last summer I had a frog that moved into a one gallon pot that I had a seedling about the same size as these in. It was outside, so after moving the little fellow a few times, I did just that. I made him his on little home out of another pot. I put soil in it just like the other one he was taking over, but, no, he didn't like that one. I set the two pots side by side and he always get into the one with the seedling. stuborn little things. He finally dug the seedling up so many times that it died. I was so busy with other stuff that I forgot it and when I did think about it again, the seedling was dead and I don't know what happened to the frog.

so, if he's back in there in the morning, I'll just take the two seedlings out, put them in a bigger pot that they'll soon need anyway, and put the cup back less the plants and he can have it. I bet he won't stay without the plants. Maybe he likes laying next to the plant???

I love having natures visitors in my gardens. We had a garter snake today laying up next to the house. It's the first one we've seen this year. We never kill any of these visitors, in fact, we leave all the bees, bumblebees and just about any insect alone as long as they follow the rules.

#1 don't bite me and I won't bite you!
#2 Stay out of the house!!!!(I'll share the greenhouse but not the house I sleep in)
#3 no stinging
#4 play nice with the other critters(only eat what you need)
#5 take all pollen except from daylilies(that's my pollen to play with!)

I think these are simple rules so I don't think I ask too much Whistling Whistling Green Grin!

Thanks Stephanie, I think that's a great idea. Let's see, hhmmmm, my DH is a great painter. He doesn't have anything else to do, so maybe I can get him to fix me a sign.(poor thing, if he got just one thing aday done on his honey-do list, he might finish sometime in 2020, maybe.)

I spent the day cleaning out pots of all the dead stuff from last year. I did nearly 400 pots today. I finished up all the ones that I repotted last fall. Now, I've got to get them all fertilized. I had to order another 50# bag of Florikan and we'll go to town tomorrow to get it.

I only found 2 pots that I had to redo. My most favorite vole had been at work again. I grabbed the plant to get all the dead stuff off it's neck and the whole plant came up in my hand. Atleast it still had some roots, so it should be ok. The other one just wasn't growning. I repotted both of them and moved them up to another group so maybe they will grow.

I will take some pictures later in the week. Blessings to all, Mona

Thanks ya'll. I spent the better portion of 3 hours making photos, nearly 500 of them, to get these photos. I love doing this. The digital camera was a blessing to me. It allows me to make as many photos as I want and only costs the price of my time and some good rechargeable batteries.

Now if I can just find someone to teach me a few basics about my new camera, I'll be sooooo happy!

Blessings, Mona

Digital cameras are great that way. Sure beats the old way of having to develop
the film, and then throw away the lousy pics after paying for them.

Some things do improve.
