It sure would! You know, I really need to thin out a lot of my semps. I'll try to update my list on Cubits today and will post a link to it on the trading thread (on ATP) when I'm done.

Hello everyone!!!

I'd love to meet up with you all at the Botanic Gardens!!! If that's ok. What day is it? Just the 24th or through the weekend?

Tabby, I also thought of taking that trough course but wasn't sure..... Have you taken classes there? How are they? Did you sign up??

Beautiful pics everyone!!! I so wish I had stuff to trade..... Sad I have no flowers or anything other than trees and shrubs in my yard. I'd be so grateful if anyone wants to share this year and then hopefully next I'll have some to share too!!! Or if you have any ideas I'm open to hearing them please!!! Thank you!!!

Audrie, I'm sure I will have enough to share some with you in a few weeks when they're ready to ship. I'll make a note to tree-mail you when that time comes.

Audrie, I have some I have to thin out. My Oddity is over crowded and so is Maria Laach. And I definitely have some sedums to get rid of such sedum album and Angelina.

The Rock Garden sale looks like it is just that Saturday.

I've never taken a class at Timberline yet. I haven't signed up yet because I'm still waiting to see if I end up with a schedule conflict. This time of year is crazy. I've been trying to sign up for that class for 3 years and always end up with a conflict.

Chris, I've found that I don't much care for Ford Spring, in large part because they are too prolific. Some years a nice clump, the next year a mess, the next year a ton of bloomers, then a messy pot again. A lot of work to keep these nice looking.

Good info. I can still use them. I've got an area that doesn't get watered but could use ground cover like this.

I have a similar problem with S. barbulatum F/Valle Quazarro. It's a beautiful, mini green Sempervivum and, as I understand it, a naturally occurring hybrid (barbulatum denotes that, but I am not certain at this point due to my ratty memory). It's about 1/2" typically, although some rosettes can get larger.

IN the spring, it puts out a ton of offsets, but it seems the offsets only last a year or two, then it goes into a population crash. If you catch it at the right time in its population cycles, it makes a great clump, but the clump doesn't last.

I'm going to try crowding it to see if close quarters populations will make it settle down a bit. I like all the barbulatum's I've seen so far.

A couple of pics:

Awesome!! Thank you!!! I have so much to learn as I have no idea what sedums are? Or Noids? And lots of other things.... :-)

Let me know if you're able to take the class. I may go myself and I can meet you in the event we don't meet up at the Botanical Gardens.

Cool! I'm still thinking about the class.

NOIDs are those with no id (identification). We don't know what variety it is.

Pop over to the sedum database and look around:
The Sedums Database

You've seen these drought tolerant, hardy plants at the garden centers. They come in an amazing variety.

I am starting to see more babies on the semps.
Here's S. Old Copper and some teeny tiny ones starting on S. pumilum hepworth:
