Name: Cal McGaugh Escondido, California (Zone 10b)
Tithonia diversifolia
I've always called them Mexican sunflowers, but aka
Bolivian sunflower. https://floridata.com/Plants/A...
12-15 ft tall(!), lots of blooms, makes great cut flower display, bees love them. Can cut to 6 ft early. Cut to 3 ft in winter. Great plant! ;)
By whatever name you call it, the sunflower is a splendid specimen!
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.
