My goodness. I cannot imagine no rain for six months. We consider "no rain in two weeks" a long dry-spell. Sticking tongue out

I was so happy to see a reading of 88% humidity earlier Hilarious! very rare! Well, that's it for our rain..gone now..nothing in sight again for the next couple of weeks...maybe see the rain if it manages to come in Winter...another wait. Rolling my eyes.

That's a beautiful shot, did you upload it to the database? I was going to say import it but sometimes importing doesn't work for me.

Took a photo of Plumeria Celadine's actively growing tips..I like how thick these tips are going: just do not know what those white specks are:

I don't have a clue what the specks are, Tarev. I quit micromanaging my plants long, long ago. IF my plants appear healthy and I don't see evidence of horrible things about to happen, I just enjoy them even with all their flaws. If it is something easily controlled, like sunburned leaves, well, I immediately know what's wrong and can improve the growing conditions so that it doesn't worsen or happen again. Thumbs up

Oh that's fine Ken..I do not expect anyone to know all the answers either..I am just taking photos and like thinking out loud what I see..it helps me later if it occurs again and remind me not to make too much of it. I do the same with some of my orchids and have accepted some types get more specks than others. Hilarious!

That is particularly true from those plants, orchids and others, that are grown outside. Wind, rain, insects, birds, etc. will all "mark" our plants. Just nature working against us I guess. Shrug!

Hetty may know about those white spots. I am sure she'll let you know.

Plumie Celadine did very good yesterday, with our sudden downpour mixed with light hail. No damage on its blooms or leaves. Hurray!

Just one bloom down after those two days of sudden rain..but a new bud has bloomed..though a bit smaller compared to the earlier batch. At least it fills nicely the gap left by the other one. I am just glad it is still coming strong. Our cool temps will soon be back to the near heat wave temps this coming weekend..swinging temps galore!

The plumeria love heat so your 'Celadine' may just take off again.

Heat..I think in our area..not too much since it is so much drier here. I am surprised it did thrive while getting mostly dappled sun in the afternoon. But it sure does not mind our extreme heat, as long as I make sure I give it daily watering here. When I see 90's & higher and our humidity in just the 30% range..time to water daily. I tried one time to do it every other day, you can just see the bottom leaves flap down.

We don't have the "lack-of-humidity" problem, but I still have to water the large, old plants that have huge bases and huge roots, every day. Our forecast has moderated a bit. Now we are supposed to have two mornings (weekend) with 50 F rather than in the mid-40's. I expect the plumeria to begin their dormancy soon after, though the highs will be back in the mid to upper 80's next week. I may bring in my two large Vanda but will probably leave everything else as-is for at least another week.

That's understandable, older plumies will require more watering. I am watching our overnights..so far holding at 58F to 60F so we are still okay. I am using my Adeniums as my marker, if it starts to drop its leaves, then time to pull them in..but so far it even started to grow new ones..oh well. But once the strong winds come in, will pull them in earlier.

Certainly not a plumie, but I just had to show a first-time blooming orchid. Now my plumeria are not the only plants blooming. Hurray! ]
