I got it on ebay right after seeing David's in bloom. I think my next vanda should be tricolor.

Janice, you mailed the picture of your beautiful noid Cattleya to SBO and asked if they could id it?
Those Odcdm Catatante seem to be huge plants - nice spikes/blooms. Gorgeous deck-plant!

Dendrobium fimbriatum late afternoon yesterday. This is un-doctored. The color is breathtaking.

Thank you, Ursula!
Yes, I did send SBOE a photo of the catt. They were so good about replacing it and the one they sent is in fat bud.

Glad you like Odcdm Catatante. I like him better outside. His colors look better as well. He is a big boy.

Okay, got it! Here's the first flower open on Den. anceps. This is a "help yourself" gift from Miami neighbor's Pandana tree.

Here are the braids with buds in various stages. They are forming rather randomly. Flowers are also forming on the front, but mostly on sheaths covering the braid so it's the older parts of the braid that're more likely to bloom on the front.

Here's an example of buds forming on the front of the braids. I realize this orchid is more interesting than beautiful.

Ursula has a much nicer specimen that bloomed months ago. I thought mine was not going to bloom this year. Mine had been roughing it outdoors in FL until early last Nov. Here it was then.
