My big anticipation is this huge Grammatophylum scriptum. Last year it had six spikes and streched 6 feet across. This year there are only four, but still...

Here is a look from the other direction. Note the 10 foot long epi hanging behind it on the right. On cold nights, I have to haul these two plus eighty more around the house into the garage. Also, outside of the screen, is a ponytail palm and out in the garden is a ribbon palm.

I just looked at the Grammatophylum and it has 50 plus blooms per spike. That will be over 200 blooms open at once in just a few days. Now that's anticipation.

Jim, Your Grammatophylum scriptum should put on a very impressive show. That's a lot of flowers on one plant. While looking up information about your Grammatophylum, I came acoss the Grammatophylum speciosum and found that it can grow to 2 tons. Now that would be a challenging thing to move.

I found it as a cross between zygopetalum and colax (a synonym for pabstia). The spotting on the column is from the colax I think. Here's a pic. http://www.orchidspecies.com/p...
