Great looking plants Todd. I like the contrast of the Dendrobium and deep color of Aliceara.

Ursula, I for one love the unruliness of your Brsdm Shooting Star 'Mustard'.

Jim, you sure are having a blooming good time there. Stanhopea wardii makes for very nice eye candy and the blue Lc. is a real knockout.

Susan, your new Grammatocymbidium is putting on a great display.

I have a few Spathoglottis plicata orchids growing in large pots in a shade garden. It finally quit raining long enough for me to go outside and have a look at them. Enjoy.

Those are beautiful! Do they remain outside in winter? Andy's has been featuring them, but when I saw how big they get, I chickened out. Hmmm...I may have to re think this. Lovey dubby

Yes, they stay outside all year. Last winter, however, killed all of them. I started over in the spring of this year. Normally, being under a big oak helps and I supplement that with a blanket on the coldest nights. Last winter it was cold for so long that we lost all of the ground heat and the blanket trick didn't work. I can wheel them into the garage on a 2 wheel dolly if need be. At least they are a lot easier to replace than a big palm or my precious screw pine.
