Not real good pics but I am feeling crummy today so this is the best I could do.

Oddity is doing OK

It's hard to get up close to them since I have so many pots sitting around the shelving.

Oddity looks great. Ann-Christy is looking good also, just has some old dead leaves from last summers dry heat.
Grigg's Surprise might have a surprise under all that dead leaf littler. Check it out carefully. Looks like it got to hot and dry last summer.
Gently take one dead leaf at a time and tug it side to side until it comes loose. A tedious task, but quite rewarding when you find life under all the dead leaves. Thumbs up

Why don't you feel good Marilyn? Are you coming down with something?

I hope I am not coming down with something, but I just don't feel good.

When this next storm passes, supposed to start getting rain turning to snow tonight then clear up, I think they said by Monday.

I will try to get out and work on the various and sundry semps. I know some look really good. But I think Rubin bit the dust

Thumb of 2013-03-20/CDsSister/d475b8

Now not only do I feel crummy, after looking at some of them I am depressed. No more pics until my mind is better.

Again, there might be living semps under all the brown. Go rest and don't worry about them. Group hug

Marilyn I feel crummy too! I made myself do some planting and tending to my geraniums to try and brighten up. But I'm just in a slump and can't seem to shake it. Hope you feel better!

LOVE the rock and a hard place Columbine!

Thanks, Jen, I hope you feel better too.
I am so glad my Colubine survived the winter, and I know I have some semps that did too,

Will be checking in after the storm.

In the meantime I think I will go back to lurking and laughing at everyone's teasing each other.

Wahoo, just look at that tough little columbine. Lovey dubby It has the perfect place for safety. Thumbs up
I really think it is the weather, I also feel in a little funk. I did plant up a tray of new semps and sedum. So I do feel a little better.
But then a few minutes ago a box of lily bulbs arrived at my door. So now I feel in a funk again because I can't go out and plant them. Sighhhhhh.
Hmmm, wonder how they would do in nursery pots?

Also I really want to support the 4 places that donated prizes to Semp week! I haven't ordered from Perennial obsessions or North hills nursery, so I have a few to get from those 2 places! (see I usually can come up with a good reason for purchasing semps!) Thumbs up Thumbs up

Right Lynn... I heard we had 1.15 inches of rain yesterday, making it a record for us! Even worms drowned! So it's gotta get better!

Patty, I hope so. I was worried we would get flooding with all the rain. It was torrential at times.

My S. 'Oddity' has two lovely bloom stalks. It had more, but I cut off all that appeared to be normal type stalks and kept the stalks that have the tube type leaves along the stalks.
So far only a couple of blooms have opened into what looks like a normal type bloom. Most do not open before they dry up. Sad

The first blooms, never opened up before drying up.

Very interesting Lynn! You might see if any pollen is produced so you can use at least the pollen on other varieties. In one photo it looks as though you do have some good looking pollen, unlike 'Weirdo', which has cream, non-functioning pollen. Because the flowers aren't opening well it might be possible to just spread some pollen onto the stigmas without pulling the flowers apart or using any sort of cover.

GOOD LUCK!!

Kevin
