Funny guy!

Weather here is on the dry side, but then this is our yearly dry season. I live on a part of the island that gets a little more rain, I like that. Funny place, the wind blows the moisture from the east end, where it's rocky and dry and cactus grow wild, to the west end, where the place is really green most of the time.

I had a wonderful red seedling flower for the first time yesterday, a seedling of one named Arrogant. Love those reds!

Whoosh! Hang on, Doris! And people tell me about hurricanes all the time. Wild photos, thanks for taking them and putting them up for us to see.

Charleen, just a red flower, I am reluctant to mess with this store's computer since they deleted all the photos that I had... But I could post and then do my own deleting, couldn't I?

Hi, everyone.

Great picture! Oh, how I enjoy it when I am sitting under the carport in my shade garden and I look to my right (West) to see storms approaching from the Everglades. I love a navy blue sky, specially when anything white takes on a bluish "black light" hue. I have always enjoyed storms. We had a large covered and screened porch that wrapped around 3 sides of the house when I was a kid. We sat in the swing and watched the storms. We was poor and lightning was the closest thing to fireworks we ever saw.

Since moving here, I have become weary of mamatocumulus clouds. A link to wikipedia about them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M...

They are something I had never seen in Canada. I guess we didn't get the conditions required for them to form. They are usually bad news. Sighting those usually prompts me to move my outside table and chairs to the East end of the carport so the car can be parked under there as fast as my little paws can carry me. Time is of then of the essence. Those things travel fast and furious. When everything is safely put away, I get to enjoy the storm from inside the house.

Take care,all.
Sylvain.

Grrr, I know that if I click your link, to look at the clouds, that I will be taken away from here. Dave says he likes that, rather than opening a new window. I would much rather get a new window, and not leave here. Grrrrr

But, Sylvain, yes, watching weather has been a thrill for me all my life. My weather usually comes from the East. I'm really happy that I never have to worry about tornadoes and hail!

Just planted another 100 seeds today, but for the Botanical Gardens. Pink.

800 crazy people will be racing here on Sunday, a triathalon. They're nuts, if you ask me. I guess I'll go watch for a little bit, Lance Armstrong, the bicycle guy is amongst them I get worn out thinking about it...

Melissa, generally if you hold down the Command key and then click a link it will open in another window or another tab. I have it set to open in another tab because I don't like a ton of windows open. Either way though, you should be able to set it in your browser.

In fact, you can probably set that behavior in your browser for any link. I just tested it by clicking that link above without holding down Command and it opened in a new tab. I have it set for that in Chrome which is the browser I use. Apparently it overrides what Dave has set here.
