Tom Thanks I really like the color impact it makes I have been planting Cannas in the middle for something else after Iris are finished and they are really nice too in clumps I will have to divide the bed this year I started out with 32 bulbs 3 years ago and at the time it didnt look that full but it has been a really good grower and filled in fast but I think your right something else to contrast would be good.
That would be one on the "trade list" for me if you would want to trade some. So far I've had older ones blooming, but this morning I have a few newer ones open, finally. It's still dark here, but I'll take some pics later.

No Polly I dig them every year just before frost I do those and I have a few of the red leaf banana trees that I plant as well they are my little peice of Hawaii in Iowa

Really like Star appeal! Is that one of Ghio's? I don't have many pinks, but am looking to fix that, have Strawberry Shake ordered for this year. I love that last picture, those alium look neat with the iris.

Tom yes Star Appeal is one of Ghios it is my favorite Pink for now I saw some of his seedlings that were even better but we will see if they make the cut I have not seen Strawberry Shake or the other one he had last year I think it was called Pretty Kitty but I am hoping someone has them this year. The alliums are great there about the only thing I can get to bloom at the same time as the Iris I tried Delphiniums and lupines I just cant grow them they always look great but never come back the next year.
