Sorry, off topic a bit!

Rita, Those are really good prices on hanging baskets! I've heard things cost more on the west coast than in other parts of the country. I guess it's true? Crying The cheapest I saw them here was $22.98. Most places are wanting $26.99. I prefer to make my own, but if they sold for $12.99 here I might be tempted to buy one or two.

I've been lurking and enjoying seeing everyone's pics. I don't get out much so I can't get a picture of me for this thread. Sorry! Rolling my eyes.

Well, the hanging baskets at the nurseries are usually $30.00 or more. But the ones at the supermarket are always a bargain. The selection is more limited but the price sure is right.

I don't know that I get out much myself. After all my outing wearing my ATP shirt to qualify for this thread was going to a supermarket. Whistling Rolling on the floor laughing

Yes, it IS neat to be able to see faces & put them with names.

Hetty, my goodness gracious how do you do so much in one day? See, I KNOW how humid it was & how that drags you (or me) down. You have more go juice than I. Hilarious!

When I go to the Kroger Marketplace here, the hanging baskets are $12.99 and $16.99, but as Rita said, it's a limited selection. If I go to a locally owned garden center, I've seen the baskets up to $29.99. I kept eyeing one basket that was $24.99 and Drooling all over it, but ended up not geting it. Shrug! Sad It was Fuchsia 'Mantilla' and it GORGEOUS!!! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Thumbs up

Aww, Thank you Sharon. I only leave when I absolutely have to. Like when we're out of food, the cats are out of food or I'm out of something for the garden. If I could have everything delivered, I'd probably never leave here. Hilarious!

I haven't been to any of our nurseries yet this year so I don't know what their hanging baskets are going for. Those prices I quoted were from a Fred Meyer shopping center and Walmart. Walmart was the lowest price of the two at $22.98.

Yep! I realized in early 2010 that in all of 2009, I hadn't even left the state, except to drive my brother to the first road-side rest across the Alabama state line where he wsa hooking up with the next friend he was going to visit. This from a woman who used to travel regularly for pleasure as well as business.

Thank goodness I learned about daylily societies, or I might have turned into a bonafide hermit. Rolling on the floor laughing

Mary, I was the complete opposite in my youth too. Once I started gardening I didn't want to leave my yard. Now with the new house, I don't want to leave it either. Hilarious!
