I purchased it a few weeks ago. Since I've had it, it has sent up new growth. It had 3 blooms on it.

Please chime in on care of it.

I don't grow Pineapple Lily (Eucomis) but hopefully others will be able to offer care advice.

I had it outside for a couple years. It is supposed to be hardy here, but after a few years, it just sort of dwindled away, so I am not the best example of a great eucomis plant parent LOL

It will bloom on the new growth if it stays warm enough where you are. Then like most tender perennial bulbs, it will die back to the ground.

I would mulch it very generously with a nice wood chip mulch, or a thick layer of leaves and grass clippings. Be sure to mark where it is after you mulch, or you're liable to plant something else there. (been there, done that D'Oh! )

When it gets warm, they will pop up again, and you can resume feeding and watering it.

I have Eucomis comosa 'Sparkling Burgundy', and in 5 years it has increased from 1 to 3 very large bulbs. My Eucomis send up only one tall, pinkish bloom stalk, in mid-summer, which remains attractive until cold temp sends the plant into dormancy. Grown in well-draining soil, I water weekly---too much water causes the long leaves to becoming floppy. I fertilize monthly. It does not like to be crowded. I don't mulch in the winter (Z8B), but I shall start this winter, to see if it comes back earlier in the spring. Since Sparkling Burgundy is large for a Eucomis, I grow it in my black and white garden as a specimen plant. I love this easy plant!

Probably too much information, but the plant is so striking and attractive, and none of my gardening friends grow it, so I have the urge to enthuse about it!
