Welcome, @walkersciencelady. We're a slow thread, but we are here!
Here in East TN, my daffodils and crocus are up and shining, and the lenten rose has been beautiful for a while. I'm looking at the sky right now, and it looks like we will have some snow but probably won't. Though the temps are dropping rapidly.
Hope you enjoy the forum as much as I do!

A plant I really love to grow is the tropical milkweed { Asclepius curavassica} It makes a huge bush of colorful blooms and butterflies love it. It's not winter hardy so I pot up a few and move indoors for the winter. Another plus is that Monarch butterflies lay eggs on it in the fall and it supports a bunch of caterpillars. Grows great from cuttings too and makes a ton of seed. For some strange reason the seed is very expensive. If anyone wants to grow it, I've got a ton of seed I've collected.

Hi Paul, Im new here also and pleased to be meet everyone. I hope people understand that "Milkweed {Asclepius curavassica} is very important to be used by gardeners if the Monarch is to survive. Other plants are said to help this butterfly but the Milkweed { Asclepius curavassica} is the most important. Thank you

Hey Katya. Welcome! I'm in Blaine. My slope is enough to keep the driveway furrowed from the rain, but shallow enough to walk up and down 2-3 times a day for a dog walk. It'll be nice to play in our gardens again come spring.

Not in TN but across the line in KY. I do have one daughter near Goodlettsville. I am so glad Spring is here.
Today I have been unloading leaf mulch onto the hosta bed. I grow mostly daylilies but iris are great too.

East TN garden (Blaine) being dug up. I know it's November and very short notice, but there's a lot of good plants that will be a shame to lose. Please send me a mail if you can help take some beauties home

Hi from Maryville in E Tennessee! I usually hang out on some of the other forums- daylilies and beekeeping etc. Fall y'all, and I don't feel ready. I'm still trying to get summer chores done.
