Okay, hope this works. For some reason only He Who Understands Technology will know why photos from last May are missing in my computer. Here are links to the knock down mini-slat house I built. The first two show a gabled configuration and as it spent the summer on one side of the house deck. The last, which is part of a thread, shows the same parts reconfigured as a shed roof against the south side of the house. It was then Fall. The move put it right next to the plant room door and family room glass in case of a weather crisis. With indoor/outdoor carpet for a floor and plastic walls, I was able to heat the space through much of December. The whole shebang stores flat against a garage wall except for the two shelving units.

Laurel, if you have Windows I think you can copy these to your computer through right click.

I'd rather have him find and restore all the other lost photos from last May. Thanks though.

No, but I tell you I've been using a computer since the early eighties and still can't get the hang of it. DH finally learned not to say, "Go ahead and press any button, you can't hurt it" years ago. Rolling my eyes. My attention span is too short. Now I'm going to get up and take some photos.

Just to put this into perspective, I live in a single wide mobil home. This is a south facing window in my living room and I have a similar set up in my bedroom for the larger Cats and Dens. that aren't blooming now. Most will go outside as soon as the night temps are staying at 50 and above. A few of my cooler growers will stay indoors where I can keep the temps down and the humidity up by useing my swamp cooler. The rest move around my yard as the summer, fall seasons change the angle of the sun.

Carol,
You make it look so easy...like anyone with a small table can grow 37 different types of orchids!

If you'll notice, the small, new ones in the front row, are going to need repotting soon. I'm either going to have to stay away from shows, or give up my computer desk in the other south window! Those orchids are so jammed together now that watering is a risk to all of them !

I expect so. Most of the Cyms go in full sun elsewhere. The rest go here. I lost a few biggies this year so there should be room. I have 3 long shelves about 30' and three plastic tables and some will sit on the rocks between the tables. Many will hang off the shelves and over the tables.

In the meanwhile -
continuing from my above post
http://cubits.org/orchids/thre...

I usually start bringing the Orchids outside here in our zone around May 15. This year the weather really cooperated beautifully and the nights stayed warm.
My main Summer growing place for the Orchids is nowadays The Cage, and I bring most C&S out on The Deck ( less water) accompanied by just a couple of Orchids. ( mostly blooming stuff) In addition I kept this year most of the Epiphyllums together with some larger Cacti and etc. in front of the house.
Let me start with the Cage. I should mentioned that it has been continuously sunny this week, so the pictures are a bit bright, but hopefully you at least get some impressions. And, there is a lot more in those layers of the cage than meets the eye/camera. Smiling

A view from the deck.
There is a small Cherry tree to the left and the Japanese Maple grows inside the cage and through the grid and really loves it. I place my shade loving Orchids underneath.
