When I was in Austin we decorated what we then called a philodendron. (Think it's actually a monstera)

Since it was Austin and also since we lived in an an adobe house, we used a TexMex theme.

I'd also like to see a picture of your tree. And have you seen the pictures that Esperanza posted about making huge brom baskets? She and/or someone else posted pictures of brom trees.

Since I'm celebrating all holidays, tell me about Yule. Does it fall on the same day as Christmas or???

That reminds me that now that Chanukah has come and gone, unless I think of something else, the Solstice is approaching.

Well I think I'm kinda at a loss for what I can do for the solstice.

However, just as a heads up, there will be a lunar eclipse on January 20th. Don't know if this would be true for most of y'all, but here it's supposed to be visible in the early evening so no getting up in the wee hours to see it.

Last night I was driving myself crazier than I already am. I could have sworn (if I did) that I'd already posted this picture. Couldn't find it anywhere. Maybe I deleted it because the mobil home wasn't as good as the previous one. Or maybe it was due to the quote I gave it. Dunno. Probably out in the virtual universe somewhere. Christmas in the sand

I took a couple pictures last night at Lowes but their shelves are almost empty of Christmas things except lights. (will post pics later) Across the street at HD it doesn't matter whether they have Xmas stuff because they don't sell broms.

Neighborhood grocery where I found the drummer 'old man' is limited. Will need to do another check. It's a good thing that I'm a night owl because there's few customers and the clerks are used to me.

Scott, maybe you can come up with some ideas for Kwanza.

So anyway, I'm just in this for fun. I'm not 'in it to win it'.
