I'm in my last year of my 5th decade. born in miami, moved to gainesville 6 years ago and love it here! retired teacher/media specialist. I love all things 'plant'. special gardening interests...florida native plants and growing good things to eat. love the outdoors...biking, kayaking, hiking, camping...and I always bring my camera along! currently into training the newest member of the family, a Jack Russell/Chihuahua/Corgi mix named Maica. she dreams of being a Therapy Dog when she grows up.
