Thanks Leon and Cinda. What struck me initially was the lack of color. It looks for all the world like a black and white photo, but is not. It is unphotoshopped (if there is such a word ) so there was no fiddling with the color. It was a startling reminder that the landscape in winter can be quite devoid of color.
