These two appear to be duplicates, lilioasphodelus being the accepted name for flava. This species is in the American Hemerocallis Society cultivar database (some species were included when the cultivar database was compiled) hence was given the single quotes 'Flava' making it look like a cultivar name, but in the original paper checklist it is a species name in italics.
