The Horse Park of New Jersey is my favorite charity, It has been since the day it was just an idea of a few people. I am a life member and since I am getting older and can not be at the park to assist in the shows, etc.I thought I would try to come up with a fund raiser I could do. With this in mind, when I was cleaning up my craft and floral workshop and I found some old horseshoes. I decided to paint them, use up some old silk flowers to decorate them and see how they look. I sent them to the Park and they sell them for $10 each. All the money from the sales go to the Horse Park. Much to my surprise they are selling, so I started to advertise them on eBay, Facebook and some other places. I also take special orders from people who want their stable colors used, etc. The flowers are all silk. Horseshoes are real and can be hung up by wire or used as paperweights, etc .It is a fun gift for the gambler who has everything. It takes no time at all to make them and I enjoy offering something special for their benefit. It is a great way to use up the left over smaller silk flowers and when they do not need any live floral arrangements for tables, etc. it keeps me involved doing these.

This one was a special order from a standardbred horse breeding farm manager.
