We really haven't had anything that resembles winter yet, though. We've had perfect orchid weather for what seems like weeks. Every day's been in the 80's in December except for maybe two. Low's barely get below 70. We do have a nice cool-down coming along this weekend.

I don't think that's weak growth because it sure looks like a good sized, healthy leaf except for being folded up. On the one you 'helped' to open up, has any of the damage gotten worse? Color change or other symptoms? The color on the folded one looks pretty good, too. Not spotted or blotchy. Very strange!

You're not living next door to a nuclear power plant or something, are you??
