Maybe you just have to ask them to recycle the glass...over and over. Here we have a bulk pickup day. You'll see people with trucks and trailers riding thru the neighborhoods taking furniture, old appliances, anything they can resell before the garbage trucks get to it. We have recycle bins that go out on pickup day that we use to separate our glass, cardboard, newspaper,etc in.

There's another recycle center is for old paint, pesticides, etc. So you can drive around all week, throwing stuff away!
I like the "swap" idea! What do people swap?
