I start most things (and these as well) in 72 cell trays - 12 columns with 6 rows. When they have 2 sets of true leaves I move to individual pots - 2" - 3". I use the plastic covers and keep them on til I see true leaves. If I think it is too wet, I will remove the cover for several hours to a day or more. Once I see two sets of leaves, I also move the heat mat elsewhere. It is set at 84.

I used Seed Starting media - Light Warrior Brand - good stuff, but expensive. Manufactured by Foxfarm. I add a bit more perlite. Info here:

I use Foxfarm Potting media as well as Happy Frog quite a bit.

But I typically add other stuff - perlite, coir, sometimes sand. Some of my mixes I may also add Special Kitty litter, pine bark fines, NAPA oil dry, granite chicken grit.
