The Piggy Swap is very different in that it was very time consuming. You make a request for seeds in a thead, then start a new thead to ask another person. Then you have to wait maybe for hours or even a day to see if your request was granted. Here it is instantaneous. There is no need to stretch it out for month. Taking only 5 picks a day for a month would cause people to loose interest.
