I don't like beets in any form, but I'm not a big soup lover anyway, so borscht is just a compound horror.
I like most fish, but my grandmother once bought butterfish at the market and cooked it. It was disgusting. Awful texture. Like eating slices of butter, but with a fish flavor.
My Hawaiian neighbor laughs when I tell her I had tilapia for dinner because tilapia is a junk fish in Hawaii. It would be like eating smelt here.
