IAA is Indole Acetic Acid.
Should have said IBA ? Indole Butyric Acid?
IBA is the chemical component in the "Roots" gel.
The gel also has a fungicide in it.
When I was researching seeds from the NARGS swap,--
I came across info that IAA was used to shorten the warm ? or cold? period for some seeds.
So I thought I would try IBA on peony seeds.
So far there are no results to report.

But I do have a control which only had peroxide water as pretreatment.
I treat all peony seed with peroxide water first.
But one bag has had no further chemical treatment.
