For the past few years I have seen a white-flowering plant blooming in December and January. Today I was finally able to pull the car close enough so I could get a look at the plant. It is a Clematis and looks like the one that grows in my garden. It looks almost identical except for bloom time. I'll try to bring a camera next time I drive out that way...
