Well, I did not have my glasses on but I swear they looked like lady bugs when I saw them. So even though it is misting rain still, I had to go see if I could find any of them. I only found one beetle, and to me it did not look as orange as the others (could be just wishful thinking). Any how I caught the one I still found on the sheet and this is what he looks like. I had a very hard time getting the camera to focus as close as it needed to be to see any detail on such a small bug. The camera kept causing a shadow so I had to use a flashlight in my left hand and hold the camera and focus with my right.
No I am not sure exactly what it is!

Well, I got out my magnifying glass and counted 18 spots, and I came up with what is a pretty close match. A Ten Spotted Ladybug. Not an exact match but I am wondering if the coloration might change at different times of year. Now I know 18 is not ten, and I would have never thought 18 spots could be a 10 spotted Ladybug but here is the link. Also the dots on this beetle are in the exact pattern, you can't see them all in the photo but they are in the order from head to tail: 2 left, 2 right. Then two offset more toward the center. Then two on each side down lower, followed by three on each side, then directly near the very back one on each side.

I now feel pretty sure these were actually Asiatic Ladybugs. These look exactly like the one I caught.
