Chris here are two more sites that have your plant. I believe your plant is ID correctly, it is just in different growing conditions. Have you had this plant a full year? Does it color up? I am seeing the same leaf shape, water markings and correct color that you will find in different seasons. The Japanese sight does look very different, but every where else I look, yours matches up.
