'Firestorm' is a dormant diploid introduced in 1979 by William Krekler. Additional information about the hybridizer was not found.
Firestorm is an early to mid-season bloomer and possible bud builder. It has earned the following Honorable Mention: 2009 AHS award. It is both pod and pollen fertile with 19 registered children:
