It grows fairly quickly. I divided out a couple big divisions from mine spring 2009 and I bet next year you won't even know it. It's not overly low - I don't think of it as a flat mound - probably similar to the Invincible which is next to it. Mine is north of an oak tree but gets some morning sun. My White Christmas is south of the same oak tree and gets morning sun as well and usually does really well. But this year the earwigs (definitely NOT slugs) made mincemeat of it.
