Mostly the roosters get aggressive, my friend has one and she has to keep a broom nearby, he becomes an attack chicken when she enters the coop. They are protecting their hens and some can become quite serious about it, going after the hand that feeds them so to speak.

Yes porkpal, we know who's laying, they start squatting if you try to pet them, a submissive move to accept a rooster. We also often go down and see the two sitting in the nest. I wait around nd then collect the warm eggs. A third one now doing the submissive thing but no egg from her yet.
