Wow, free bulbs! I wouldn't care what shape they were in as long as they still looked alive. Can't pass up a bargain like that.

Dizzy: I had a bad spell of this sort of thing once, it is called something like benign paroxsymal positional vertigo (that might not be right, but close!). From what I learned, it can be treated in two ways: 1. do nothing and eventually it will go away. 2. Let a doctor shake your head like a castanet to get the little bits of minerals floating in your inner ear to settle down. I decided on 1. But what really "cured" the condition was my husband and I decided our big apple tree needed pruning...I was too dizzy to climb the tree, so he went up and I stayed on the ground directing him. I spent a whole day with my head tipped way back, looking up. Next morning: Dizzy gone. Never came back. So I wish you luck with this and try not to worry too much about it.
