My grandmother had a very contemporary home. Windows in many rooms were floor to ceiling with the screened opening being at ground level and each about 30 inches tall (fixed windows were to ceiling).... she had daphne planted at all of those (many) windows. In the morning the fragrance would fill the rooms. Loved it!
