Connie Can’t Have It has one tiny single fan left. I added it last spring. It is smaller than the baby seedlings I planted in Oct and Nov last fall.

I also lost another one new for me. Sports Coupe is gone. There are probably others that I will find missing as I work all the beds.

We see temperature swings often here. Most of our winters have these warm and cold cycles. Our daylilies are showing very strong growth right now. In two weeks we just went from 85 to 25 and back to 85 and now 37 with an overnight freeze forecast. We went from Feb 27 until March 20 without a freeze. We have a few losses every winter. My main evaluation for this spring will be our seedlings. I planted the most we have ever planted (over 3000) and some got in the ground very late last fall. Also 500+ growing in cups and pots outside all winter. I can see that in the cups and pots there is 30% or more lost. I can also evaluate two of the seedling beds that have about 300 seedlings in each. The loss looks more like 10% in those beds

I have grown Beautiful Edgings for a few years and this year it came out and started growing in late February. I divided it in early March when it was small. Now I have two nice clumps. BE has been one of our best.
